The Pennsylvania House Health Committee has passed legislation that would regulate abortion clinics as ambulatory surgical facilities.
In Kansas, the Legislature soon will vote on a final version of a bill that would add regulations for abortion clinics and require unannounced inspections of them. It also would ban “telemed” abortions, in which an abortionist consults with a woman over a webcam and then uses remote control to open a drawer containing the abortion pill RU-486.
